What may look good on someone else may not look good on you.
Everyone's body type is different.
Here are 6 body types and examples of what to wear for each:
- Skinny Type: skinny built. Skinny women need to create an illusion of curves. To achieve this, you would need to create a bulkier look by layering clothes. An example would be vest over tops or dresses over trousers. Wearing clothes with ruffles, pleats, and gathers also add bulk to the body and make it seem curvier.
- The Top Heavy Type: women who have bulkier upper bodies and bust larger than their hips. They would need to create a balance by wearing dark tops or tops with prints. Pair them with light colored pants or skirts and by wearing V neck shirts.
- The Bottom Heavy Type: those women with hips bigger than their upper bodies. Women of this type who would like to draw attention away from their hips would need to wear light colored tops that enhance the cleavage and pair them with dark colored skirts or pants.
- The Long and Lanky Type: the layered look also looks great for this body type. Like the skinny type, wide skirts or pants with wide legs in light colors will work.
- The Petite Type: women whose bodies are short, lean, and thin but straight. These women would need to create an illusion of a waist by wearing a bold belt or full skirts.
- The Curvy Type: Curves are beautiful. Women with curves need to wear clothes that cling to the body such as wrap around dresses, or blouses. Baggy clothes should be avoided.
