MEN PULL YOUR PANTS UP!

Now I know I am going to get some people who may not like this but.... This is simply not cute to have your butt hanging out like this. Maybe picture number one is fine but the other two men need to go home and start over. I believe if women would stop entertaining this, it would stop. Sorry fellas but this is not a trend that is hot!

Avon's Eyeshadow Sheets

Avon's Eyeshadow sheets are for those women who are on the go. Most of us have very busy schedules so we do not have time to be in front of the mirror for an hour trying to get ready for work, or go on that special date. These eyeshadow sheets are a great idea for that classy, smokey eye look. All the sheets come with a 3 color coordination to give that popping look we all desire.

Here are the steps for applying this simple look:

1. First, tear the perforated line in the middle of the sheet.
2. Second, take the plastic off the back. This is used to protect the eyeshadow.
3. Third, Place the correct eye sheet on your eyelid and rub your forefinger across your eyelid for coverage.
4. Next, do the same for the other eye.
5. Lastly, use an eyeshadow brush and finish the touches if needed. Then you are DONE!

See how simple that was. It takes less than 5 minutes for a great smokey eye look. People will definitely think you spent an hour doing your makeup. It's up to do if you want to let the secret out.

I hope this works for you!

TIPS FOR THE PERFECT MANICURE

  1. First remove the old polish. Use your own method of polish remover.
  2. Shape the nail by filing your nails. With your nail filer, shape your nails from corner to center.
  3. Soften the cuticles by soaking your hands in lukewarm lightly soapy water.
  4. Apply a cuticle remover by following the directions of your remover. Usually, you are pushing your cuticles toward the skin of your hand. This removes the dead cuticles. Be very careful when using the cuticle remover, some tend to be rather sharp. Wash gently and dry.
  5. Apply cuticle cream. You can check out my website for cuticle remover products such as Nail Experts Cuticle Balm Reg. Price $6.00 on sale now for $2.79. There are also other great manicure products available at http://youravon.com/phoniciakeller
  6. Apply the base coat with long strokes. Apply the polish of your choice. with light, short strokes.
  7. As always apply lotion when your nails are dry. When applying lotion, start with your wrists and work your way down your hands. Gently massage.

SUMMER 2010 FASHION TRENDS

The start of the SUMMER means it's time to refresh your wardrobe. Even through the affects of the economy is a big issue, take the opportunity to splurge but save and take advantage of the many great deals many retail businesses are offering. Find fashion that will last beyond 2010.

One popular trend is hot pants.

Hot pants were considered gym shorts rather than everyday apparel. In the later part of 2007, the leotard came back into fashion, however, hot pants did not peak on the streets until 2009. They were worn on the Spring 2010 Catwalks. High waisted hot pants start at or just below the belly button. High waisted hot pants will be a strong trend for 2010.

When looking for hot pants, the hemline ought to curve up the outer thigh. It also needs to follow the shape of your butt. Wear hot pants with heels. Heels slim your figure to give shape to your legs and butt. Consider pairing hot pants with other articles of clothing to tone them down. A loose cut top such as a billowy blouse or blazer.

Where to buy hot pants:

www.topshop.com Prices range from $7.00 to $30.00
www.buy.com Prices range from $8.00 to $16.00
www.bodycentral.com Prices range from $19.50-$30.00

As always you can check out my website for new arrivals. Your one stop shop for quality fashions and more for less.

DRESS FOR YOUR FIGURE

What may look good on someone else may not look good on you.
Everyone's body type is different.

Here are 6 body types and examples of what to wear for each:

  1. Skinny Type: skinny built. Skinny women need to create an illusion of curves. To achieve this, you would need to create a bulkier look by layering clothes. An example would be vest over tops or dresses over trousers. Wearing clothes with ruffles, pleats, and gathers also add bulk to the body and make it seem curvier.
  2. The Top Heavy Type: women who have bulkier upper bodies and bust larger than their hips. They would need to create a balance by wearing dark tops or tops with prints. Pair them with light colored pants or skirts and by wearing V neck shirts.
  3. The Bottom Heavy Type: those women with hips bigger than their upper bodies. Women of this type who would like to draw attention away from their hips would need to wear light colored tops that enhance the cleavage and pair them with dark colored skirts or pants.
  4. The Long and Lanky Type: the layered look also looks great for this body type. Like the skinny type, wide skirts or pants with wide legs in light colors will work.
  5. The Petite Type: women whose bodies are short, lean, and thin but straight. These women would need to create an illusion of a waist by wearing a bold belt or full skirts.
  6. The Curvy Type: Curves are beautiful. Women with curves need to wear clothes that cling to the body such as wrap around dresses, or blouses. Baggy clothes should be avoided.
